Henstaff have been looking at Carbon Measurement of our onsite impact for the last couple of years, now. As seen in our published article in Construction Manager, on the recently completed Porthcawl Watersports centre. We implemented a process based upon the BREEAM Man3 credit to measure our own site Carbon impact. This process is now rolling out over the majority of our sites and we can confidently target a figure of 5,000kgCO2e per million pounds build. This is currently only for our own Scope 1 & 3 Emissions, i.e. our own impacts from Energy, waste, materials transport and water.
We will shortly be looking at how we can reduce this effectively to assist clients in delivering against their own targets.
